FMF Belladonna Tracker #1

Flattrack is until today almost unknown in Sweden, there haven't been one single Flattrack bike on a Swedish oval from what we know. We think this is strange since we have a long and strong left turn tradition in Sweden. The Flattrack discipline is growing rapidly in Europe and it is our dream and mission to see this racing culture spread across our borders.

So we contacted the super cool brand FMF to get a partner to build a bike (a bike that runs both on the streets and on the track) and show people that is hasn't have to cost a fortune and take a life time to get started.
We are going to follow the different moments of the project here on the blog to inspire many others many to do the same, to get one of the coolest racing discipline on track in our long country.

So we said with a little help from some friend not spend more than 2500 €
And not spend more than two month building it.

If this is possible, then we are going to have the bike on the track just before the snow start dropping down from the sky. We are living in a remote county and have absolutely no more knowledge in building trackers than what we know from building and tuning speedway bikes and trackers for streets, so if you have been racing Flattrack your hole life feel free to contribute with your ideas. We are not going to build an exhibition bike or a bike that for fill the regulations for a race in a series We are going the built an amateur Flattrack tryout bike the regular people can move some dirt with and maby later build one them self without having gold in their pockets.

Our best friend and long-track world champion Joonas Kylmakorpi are racing in Groningen( it took Google search engine 5 min to find it) this weekend. This flying finn still leads this years long-track championship and later in August he will race at the GP Challenge, the final round fighting for the few remaining exclusive places for a permanent place in the Speedway Grand prix next year. This has always been BDT's dream to get Joonas Kylmakorpi to the Speedway Grand prix, were he belongs.

We are blessed with 6 month of snow in Stockholm every year, but we survive that because we have a have a speedway track in the city, this race attracted aprox 5000 people!!!

Here comes a paparazzi picture we found on a strange blog on our new FMF project. The bike magazine photographer are luring in the bushes around the BDT dungeon to get a peak of our new secret project, we promise to reveal all the details soon.

BDT is back!! The week that went.

We met this cool bike at the petrol station traveling around the country

BDT is back after a bizzy hot hot week (we haven't been near a computer). We have been traveling around the country searching for an object for our next FMF Belladonna tracker project, we have been swinging in a dozen different lakes, at night we have been totally bizzy shooting pictures for Vladimir Rodjenko's next art book "young girls with guns" but most of all we have got a house!! This is going to be the location for the BDT gathering later on this summer. We have been working so hard in the garden that our bodies look like Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 80 ies, ehh or not..but they hurts like hell!

PS. The delayed Belladonna t-shirts arrives tomorrow from print, so hold on another day!!
